Words That Inspire: Presenting and Reading for Awareness
As part of our mission to raise awareness about hunger and food insecurity, we gave presentations and read books on the topic at Laura B. Sprague Elementary School and Frassati Catholic Academy. Through age-appropriate stories and engaging discussions, we helped students understand what food insecurity means and how it affects families in their own communities. These sessions encouraged empathy, sparked important conversations, and inspired many young minds to think about how they, too, can make a difference. It was a meaningful way to educate and empower the next generation to care for those in need.
We are truly grateful to Project UNITY for partnering with us in order to provide comprehensive nutrition education to the elementary schoolers at Laura B. Sprague, and we can’t wait for future collaboration!
