Hunger Action Day 2025 Fundraising

Nourishing Families, Inspiring Change

In honor of Hunger Action Day on September 9, Rachel launched a heartfelt fundraising campaign to support Northern Illinois Food Bank. Thanks to generous community support, she raised over $1,000, which—because of the Food Bank’s incredible buying power—translates into roughly $8,000 worth of groceries for families facing food insecurity.
Hunger Action Month is a nationwide campaign by Feeding America that unites people across the U.S. to take a stand against hunger. Every action—whether volunteering, donating, advocating, or wearing orange—brings awareness to the 34 million people facing hunger in America. On Hunger Action Day, individuals and organizations light up in orange and mobilize their communities to show that hunger is unacceptable.
Rachel’s project is a powerful reminder that one person can make a lasting difference—and that compassion, when combined with action, multiplies hope.
