Each month, Fed Up With Hunger prepares and delivers a homemade meal to the women and children staying at Lake County Haven’s Hope House and Renewal House. For our September delivery, we focused on offering both comfort and variety with a nourishing menu: spaghetti with meatballs, chicken alfredo, fresh broccoli salad, warm bread, oranges, lemon cake, and a treat that brought big smiles — chocolate shakes. Soft drinks were also included to complete a fulfilling and joyful dinner.
These meals are more than food on a plate; they are a reminder that the community cares deeply about every family working to rebuild their lives. By sharing a homemade meal, we hope to provide comfort, dignity, and a moment of happiness at the end of a long day. We are grateful for the chance to support Lake County Haven month after month and look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership.
